As a Spray Gun Operator, you will spray surfaces of manufactured products with protective materials such as paint, enamel, or lacquer. They will maintain spray guns by cleaning and repairing them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Observes and follows all safety rules
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled
  • Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray
  • Cleans and repairs spray guns including nozzles on a regularly scheduled basis
  • Cleans and changes filters
  • Load fixtures onto conveyor system for paint- area based on determined color and schedule
  • Safe operation of the burn off oven
  • Safe operation of the dip tank
  • Operate ovens and washers in a safe manner
  • Knowledge of alarm systems and how to reset
  • Maintain work area to sustain a clean and orderly environment
  • May train other operators
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED is required and 3 months of related experience and/or training
  • Must be able to operate material handling equipment such as forklift, overhead crane, motorized pallet jacks or manual pallet jacks
  • Knowledge of electrostatic painting
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers
  • Basic skill level of computer programs such as Microsoft Office are highly desirable
