As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of advanced process development, documentation, and fixture design.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide product manufacturability feedback to R&D Engineers for assigned New Product Development (NPD) projects.
  • Design fixtures needed to support welding, machining, and assembly processes for manufacturing sites.
  • Lead capital equipment projects and capacity resource planning associated with assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineers at all manufacturing sites.
  • Investigating new technologies for manufacturing process needs.
  • Oversee tooling and equipment builds, qualifications, and implementations.
  • Lead cross functional teams in DFMA activities for assigned projects.
  • Develop a facilities plan, including processing equipment, cell layout, material flow, and infrastructure needs.
  • Creation of process documents including fabrication and assembly work instructions.
  • Manufacturing technical resource for R&D Engineering team.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong leadership skills working in a collaborative environment.
  • Proven project management skills and experience.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Experience performing DFMA events & assisting in NPD / NPI projects.
  • Possess technical knowledge of metalworking processes including laser cutting, sheet metal bending, welding, and power coat finishing.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software in fixture design environment, Creo preferred; 2D AutoCAD preferred.
  • Proficient in GD&T and best drafting practices.
  • Powered and manual work holding design experience.
  • 15-20% travel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Capital equipment procurement experience.
  • Manufacturing Execution System experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing training.
  • Green belt or Yellow belt certification.
